(More customer reviews)I had this unit professionally installed in my 2008 GMC Yukon Denali with Nav and XM radio.Easy to pair up to my iphone, which is good, and the installer paired up his samsung as well.The phone system works fine with my iphone and the sound quality is adequate.Steering wheel controls work sporadically.As far as streaming my iphone's ipod music, we have a different story.The sound is completely distorted on 75% of the music... it's really unlistenable.We called tech support and they said that happens when the phone's volume output is 'fixed' at a certainlevel for bluetooth output.The installers samsung had the ability to manipulate the output level of his music player and it had no effect, it too sounded crappy.Tech support suggested I buy a bluetooth adapter which would correct this problem... my question then becomes why would you sell a product that doesn't work with 2 of the most popular phones on the market??Why should I have to buy another part to make it work after I spent all the money to purchase it and have it installed?Why would I want to have to plug something into my iPhone to make it work with their piece of crud, doesn't that defeat the purpose of having the adapter installed in the first place?
Additionally, the steering wheel controls do NOT work as advertised, and really barely work at all.I can't change songs, and I can't use Voice Control, even though the iphone supports this feature.
If you want this for basic bluetooth phone features only, it's an ok option, though comparably expensive.As an iPod receiver...it really sucks.
**** Worse than I thought oringally.Bluetooth phone sounds fine in the car, but no one can understand me at all.Have to resync my ipod everytime i get in the car, and each time it requires all the steps in a different order.WHy bother making such a useless product!!!!
