(More customer reviews)I bought this stereo at my local wal-mart for $40 because my last stereo(VR3 with CD, Aux, USB, SD and AM-FM)got destroyed buy too many bumps from not driving on the highway all the time and getting my car airborne a few times. Since I was not going to change my driving style I just wanted a cheap stereo that was under $60. I really think this one will last longer than the 2 years the last one lasted.
Downsides
-Looses memory sometimes(Instead of continuing at track 56 it goes back to track 1)
-Can't skip from the first track to the last one by pressing the back button
-Almost too bright LCD
Upsides
- I can get about 7 more radio stations in town than my previous stereo
- No skipping with SD or USB drive
- Aux input is clear, no hissing sound or other noise
- Water resistant, they do not advertise it, but I have already dunked this stereo about 3/4 of the way underwater.(Hit a hole while creek driving)
- Light weight, Once mounted in a dash install kit, it is solid and does not move it's about 1/2 the weight of my VR3
- Great sound quality, it may only be 60 watts, but my last one was 250 and this one is about even in loudness and sounds better
