After reading reviews on both Amazon and Crutchfield, I did as advised- I threw the directions from the box into the trash and then went to the PAC website for installation directions based on my car year and model. The only glitch in the installation that I ran across was related to the fact I had a Ford23B wire harness, and the directions are for Ford24 - the factory plug (I have a 2005 Ford Focus). As it turns out the only wire that doesn't match up from a 23B and a 24 is the wire for the steering wheel interface! So if you buy a wiring harness- to avoid cutting into the factory plug, make sure it's exactly the same. After much cussing, I realized I had to cut into the factory plug, once I did that- it was just a matter of programming it.

Yes, the other reviewers are correct- the programming gives you 4 seconds, so read ahead and be ready to input them. It takes a couple of times to get it right. Once it is installed it works great!
